About the Opportunity:

We’re seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant to join a leading diamond and jewellery trading firm in Dubai. This role is crucial for overseeing daily financial operations, maintaining inventory accounting, and ensuring strict statutory and industry-specific compliance, including adherence to the Kimberly Process. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, and specifically oversee inventory accounting with periodic stock verifications. Duties include managing Accounts Payable/Receivable, bank reconciliations, and ensuring UAE VAT compliance. The role also involves assisting with budgeting, audits, month-end closings, preparing MIS reports, and ensuring adherence to the Kimberley Process and UAE tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and perform reconciliations.
  • Oversee inventory accounting and conduct periodic stock verifications.
  • Manage Accounts Payable and receivable, and ensure VAT compliance.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audits, and month-end/year-end closings.
  • Ensure adherence to UAE tax regulations, the Kimberley Process, and relevant trade standards.
  • Prepare MIS reports and provide financial analysis for management.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (mandatory).
  • Prior work experience in the Middle East (Dubai preferred) is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or partially qualified CA candidates preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE tax rules, VAT, and compliance obligations.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and proven data-analysis capability.
  • Preferred Age Range: 28–40.
