About the Role:
Flora Hospitality is seeking an experienced Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor to oversee stewarding operations and ensure impeccable cleanliness and hygiene standards across the kitchen. The candidate will coordinate staff, work closely with the Head Chef, and enforce food-safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the stewarding team, ensuring duties follow established procedures and quality standards.
- Provide hands-on training in cleaning techniques, safe use of equipment, and sanitation protocols.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and initiate purchase requests to maintain stock levels.
- Inspect kitchen work areas and equipment regularly to confirm compliance with hygiene regulations.
- Create and manage rosters to guarantee adequate staffing during peak periods.
- Coordinate with the Head Chef to support kitchen workflows and respond quickly to operational needs.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Stewarding Supervisor in a 4- or 5-star hotel setting (mandatory).
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management (preferred).
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and a related certification.
- Solid understanding of sanitation and hygiene practices in food service environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a team effectively.
