Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including high-volume Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company standards.
- VAT Compliance: Manage end-to-end UAE VAT filings, ensuring full compliance with FTA regulations and coordinating for audits.
- Inventory & Costing: Monitor inventory records and perform detailed product costing and profit margin analysis for various building materials.
- Reconciliation: Perform comprehensive bank and inter-company reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
- External Liaison: Coordinate with external auditors, suppliers, and banks to facilitate smooth financial and operational workflows.
🔹 Requirements:
- Industry Expertise: Mandatory experience working specifically within the Building Materials industry in the UAE.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of solid accounting experience within the UAE market.
- Tax Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and local financial compliance requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Professional certifications like ACCA/CPA are a plus).
- Attributes: High attention to detail, ability to work independently, and strong multitasking capabilities.
- Availability: Priority will be given to candidates who can join immediately.
