Job Description:

We are executing a strategic professional appointment within our core subsurface data services division and are seeking an experienced, operationally authoritative Data Management Engineer to govern well log data pipelines and direct Final Well Report (FWR) analysis pathways in Abu Dhabi. Configured for systematic earth science and petroleum solutions architects who possess an advanced technical command of well logging operations and excel at executing data standardization protocols within fast-moving energy environments, this full-time track focuses on accelerating data retrieval velocities, auditing quality control registers, and maximizing information integrity under our unified corporate management framework.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract complex logging program details, petrophysical data, and well information from comprehensive Final Well Reports (FWR).
  • Create and meticulously maintain a live inventory of available and acquired well data, actively identifying gaps and digitization requirements.
  • Standardize, format, and validate logging data strictly into the required ProSource database architectures.
  • Load well information into PSE systems and upload well logs into PSL databases ensuring zero data loss.
  • Prepare detailed weekly and monthly progress reports ensuring absolute accuracy and structural data integrity.
  • Ensure proper data management, quality control, and visual consistency across all corporate datasets.
  • Coordinate with internal geoscience and drilling teams to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a directly related petroleum engineering field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 or more years of verified, high-performance professional history operating in well log data management, petrophysical data administration, or a deeply similar capacity within the oil and gas sector. Priority consideration will be given to candidates currently based in the UAE with immediate operational availability in Abu Dhabi.
  • Advanced technical workspace data literacy with sharp capabilities managing large-scale database systems, formatting complex logs, and running validation scripts inside Microsoft Office.
  • Deep, comprehensive operational knowledge across the following primary functional dimensions:
    • Well log data management and interpretation, petrophysical workflows, and data lifecycle management.
    • Final Well Reports (FWR) and logging operational sequences, drilling data structures, and mud logging inputs.
    • Data standardization and formatting architectures specifically using ProSource platforms.
    • Database systems such as PSE (Petrotechnical Suite Enterprise) and PSL (Petrotechnical Suite Log).
    • Reporting, data quality control metrics, analytical tools, and technical documentation archiving.
  • Outstanding analytical and verbal communication talents, sharp technical troubleshooting habits under rigid reporting deadlines, absolute attention to data accuracy, and a highly collaborative, professional attitude.
