Job Description:

The School Social Worker will support student wellbeing, lead safeguarding efforts, and deliver non-therapeutic social guidance to students and families. Stationed at our Al Ain campus, this compassionate professional will collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources to identify support needs, implement intervention strategies, and foster an inclusive, safe learning environment.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide non-therapeutic social support to students and families dealing with challenging circumstances.
  • Work closely with school leadership, teachers, parents, and external community resources to support student wellbeing.
  • Identify student support needs and assist in developing appropriate intervention plans.
  • Promote safeguarding practices and contribute to a safe and supportive school environment.
  • Maintain professional records and documentation related to student support cases.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective student welfare services.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (QFE Level 7) in Social Work/Social Service with a minimum of 2 years of youth social work experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Youth Development, or Sociology with a minimum of 4 years of relevant youth social work experience.
  • Mandatory DCD License and full compliance with ADEK eligibility standards.
  • Native Arabic speaker with fluent English communication abilities.
  • Deep understanding of student welfare, youth safeguarding, family support, and community assistance networks.
  • Strong interpersonal, record-keeping, and empathetic guidance skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to enhancing child welfare within an academic setting.
