General Manager – Dubai, UAE

Company Overview:

A leading Grade-A construction contracting firm based in Dubai, specializing in large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, and infrastructure developments across the United Arab Emirates.

Job Description:

The General Manager will lead company-wide construction operations, oversee multi-project portfolios, manage budgets and strategic expansion, direct project managers and engineering teams, and ensure strict compliance with Dubai authority regulations in Dubai, UAE.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead construction operations, project portfolio performance, and business expansion initiatives.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, procurement, manpower allocation, risk management, and recovery strategies.
• Manage Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and site teams to achieve operational objectives.
• Drive cost control, productivity improvements, value engineering, and overall project profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, ISO standards, QA/QC requirements, HSE policies, and Dubai authority procedures.
• Supervise permits, NOCs, inspections, authority approvals, and project completion certifications.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s Degree or PMP preferred).
• 10–15+ years of UAE construction operations or senior project management experience with a main contractor.
• Proven track record delivering commercial, residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA, and Dubai Civil Defense procedures.
• Strong leadership, procurement, contract management, budgeting, and HSE governance skills.
