Job Description:

The Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will calculate material quantity take-offs, prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ), analyze tender drawings, evaluate vendor sub-contractor bids, handle project cost estimation, and partner with commercial management teams to deliver competitive project proposals.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate material quantity take-offs and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for commercial interior fit-out projects.
• Analyze architectural drawings, MEP layouts, material specifications, and tender package documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, commercial bid submissions, and pricing proposals for interior design projects.
• Evaluate FF&E materials, review sub-contractor quotations, and verify supplier cost proposals.
• Liaise closely with project managers, design engineers, and procurement teams to maintain budget accuracy.
• Monitor project budget variations, cost controls, and assist in post-tender negotiations and commercial value engineering.
• Maintain detailed estimation databases, material unit rate libraries, and vendor pricing logs.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related construction engineering field.
• Mid-level experience in quantity surveying, estimation, BOQ drafting, and cost control for interior fit-out and FF&E projects.
• In-depth technical knowledge of interior fit-out materials, joinery details, finishes, and UAE supplier networks.
• Prior UAE fit-out contracting experience and familiarity with local market pricing structures is strongly preferred.
• Must be currently based in the UAE (Applications from candidates outside the UAE will not be evaluated).
• Exceptional analytical, numerical estimation, organizational, and technical communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in estimation software, AutoCAD, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
