Accountant – Al Ain, UAE

Company Overview:

A established building materials enterprise operating in Al Ain, delivering quality construction products, hardware supplies, and structural materials to commercial contractors and retail customers across the UAE.

Job Description:

The Accountant will manage daily bookkeeping entries, maintain sales and purchase ledgers, track physical stock movements, execute account reconciliations, process VAT documentation, and partner with store management to maintain accurate financial records.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate day-to-day double-entry bookkeeping, general journal vouchers, and financial ledgers.
• Process supplier invoices, customer sales bills, payment vouchers, and conduct ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory transactions, update stock records, and reconcile physical inventory with ledger figures.
• Prepare and organize financial documentation for quarterly VAT reporting and local tax compliance.
• Conduct periodic bank account reconciliations, track petty cash expenses, and manage branch cash flow.
• Support store operations with monthly financial summaries, aged receivables, and profit/loss reporting.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Proven accounting and bookkeeping experience (prior exposure to the building materials or retail trade is an advantage).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory accounting, invoice processing, and VAT compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting ERP software, POS systems, and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Good computer literacy, analytical capabilities, and clear communication skills.
• Candidates currently residing in the United Arab Emirates are required.
