Job Description:

The Draftsman | Ship Design & Engineering will produce detailed technical CAD drawings, develop vessel structural layouts, create statutory compliance plans, and collaborate with naval architecture teams in Dubai. Discover related technical opportunities on our engineering jobs portal.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare precise 2D and 3D technical CAD drawings for vessel modifications, new builds, and marine engineering projects.
• Develop detailed ship structural framing, shell expansion, and statutory drawings aligned with class society standards.
• Collaborate closely with naval architects, marine engineers, and project leads to ensure draft accuracy and design integrity.
• Revise, update, and manage technical drawings based on engineering calculations and client revision feedback.
• Maintain organized digital drawing archives, CAD libraries, and support overall engineering project deliverables.

🔹 Requirements:

• 2 to 3 years of hands-on technical drafting experience in ship design or marine engineering.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; working knowledge of Rhino software is an added advantage.
• Proven experience in producing ship structural drawings, general arrangements, and statutory marine plans.
• Strong understanding of naval architecture drafting conventions and marine classification requirements.
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong capability in technical documentation.
