Job Description:

The Accountant will manage POS transaction reconciliations, monitor inventory and food costs, handle vendor payables, and ensure UAE VAT compliance under general financial management in Sharjah. Discover more corporate and financial roles on our management jobs portal.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily reconciliations of Point of Sale (POS) transactions, cash collections, credit card settlements, and third-party delivery platform sales.
• Monitor food stock levels, track inventory usage, analyze wastage reports, and calculate food cost percentages across outlets.
• Manage supplier accounts, process accounts payable, reconcile vendor statements, and control operational expenditures.
• Execute routine bank reconciliations and support month-end financial closing activities.
• Prepare outlet-level profit and loss (P&L) statements, financial reports, and profitability performance analyses.
• Ensure strict compliance with UAE VAT regulations, prepare tax documentation, and maintain accurate ledger records.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of solid accounting experience within the UAE; prior background in F&B, hospitality, restaurant, or café operations is preferred.
• Proven practical knowledge of POS reconciliations, sales reporting, cash management, and inventory control.
• In-depth familiarity with food cost monitoring, vendor reconciliations, and UAE VAT compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities; immediate availability is highly preferred.
