Accountant – RATLS Contracting – United Arab Emirates

Job Description:

The Accountant will process subcontractor invoices, maintain project cost accounts, perform bank reconciliations, and compile financial records under construction management in the UAE. Explore further project cost accounting and engineering positions on our engineering jobs portal.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for construction projects and subcontractors.
• Maintain project cost accounting ledgers, supplier invoicing records, and site expenditure documentation.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations, petty cash audits, and general ledger journal entries.
• Utilize ERP accounting software and MS Excel to prepare accurate financial statements and trial balances.
• Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site engineers to verify progress payment applications.
• Ensure accurate filing of accounting vouchers, contracts, tax invoices, and financial records.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounting experience within a civil construction or contracting company in the UAE.
• Solid expertise in project invoicing, subcontractor payments, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized construction ERP accounting software.
• Strong communication and coordination capabilities; candidates available for immediate joining are preferred.
