Accountant Payable – Dubai, UAE | INDEX Holding

Company Overview:

INDEX Holding is seeking a skilled Accountant Payable to join our team in Dubai. This role is crucial for maintaining smooth and accurate financial operations, focusing heavily on accounts payable, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Job Description:

The Accountant Payable will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable cycle, ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and strict compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations within the company’s financial framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Processing & Vendor Management: Receive, verify, and post vendor invoices, ensuring all documentation (POs, GRNs, approvals) is valid and complete for audit purposes.
• Compliance & Taxation: Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations; assist in preparing tax returns and reconciliations.
• Payments & Settlements: Process vendor payments, handle utility bill accounting, manage credit card expense booking, and oversee petty cash.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: Perform monthly AP ledger reconciliation, monitor vendor aging reports, and assist in month-end/year-end closing activities.
• Controls & Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to internal controls and recommend process improvements, supporting ERP/accounting software migration (e.g., Odoo).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory).
• 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, Corporate Tax, and compliance processes.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems (Odoo, Dynamics, Sage, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
• MBA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
