Job Description:

The Logistics Accountant will manage cost accounting structures, ledger reconciliations, and inventory controls across our transport and construction divisions. This specialized accounting professional will analyze fuel expenditures, maintain fleet operational metrics, process logistics-based supplier invoices, and compile accurate financial closing files to support key management decisions.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor accounting transactions related to transportation, freight, fuel, equipment, and logistics operations.
  • Verify and process supplier invoices, delivery notes, and logistics service bills accurately and within required timelines.
  • Prepare purchase orders, maintain goods receipt records, and reconcile logistics expenses with supporting documentation.
  • Monitor inventory movements and coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Maintain records of fleet operating expenses, fuel usage, and equipment utilization.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting related to logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience in the UAE, ideally within the logistics, construction, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory accounting, and logistics cost management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Focus, or similar accounting software.
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable, multi-party reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting strict corporate deadlines.
  • Immediate availability to join our Abu Dhabi division is highly preferred.
