Payroll Accountant – Dubai, UAE

Job Description:

The Payroll Accountant will manage end-to-end payroll processing, execute salary disbursements via WPS, calculate end-of-service gratuity and leave settlements, ensure compliance with UAE Labour Law, and partner with finance management and HR teams to deliver precise payroll records.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Process monthly staff payrolls accurately and on time, adhering strictly to company payment schedules.
• Calculate monthly salaries, overtime allowances, attendance deductions, leave pay, and final end-of-service settlements.
• Prepare and upload Wages Protection System (WPS) SIF files in full compliance with UAE central bank and labor regulations.
• Maintain complete confidential payroll ledgers, employee financial records, and payroll accounting documentation.
• Prepare detailed monthly payroll reconciliation statements and journal entries for finance and HR review.
• Utilize payroll administration software and advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for salary processing and auditing.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll operations, salary accounting, and employee compensation administration.
• In-depth understanding of UAE Labour Law, WPS compliance protocols, and statutory payroll calculations.
• Hands-on experience calculating attendance variations, leave encashments, end-of-service gratuity, and final settlements.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, logical formulas) and accounting/payroll ERP software.
• Strong attention to numerical precision, data confidentiality, and organizational discipline.
• UAE payroll experience and immediate availability to join in Dubai are strongly preferred.
