Accountant – Architectural Consultancy – Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Description:

The Accountant will oversee daily general ledger operations, manage project accounting, monitor project fee billing, and ensure UAE VAT/Tax compliance in Abu Dhabi. Find more openings on our accountant jobs portal.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and period-end closings.
• Handle client project billing, fee tracking, collections, and supplier payment processing.
• Monitor project costs, fee income, cash flows, and project profitability metrics.
• Support payroll processing, UAE VAT returns, Corporate Tax, and audit preparations.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; ACCA, CPA, or CMA is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in consultancy/engineering.
• Hands-on mastery of ERP accounting systems (Visual Dolphin ERP experience is a major advantage).
• Strong knowledge of project cost monitoring, client invoicing, and UAE VAT rules.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting formats.
