Job Description:
The Senior MEP Estimation / QS Engineer will produce detailed quantity take-offs, manage tender submissions, execute cost engineering, analyze variation orders, negotiate subcontractor pricing, and collaborate with commercial management teams to ensure project profitability.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and comprehensive tender packages.
- Review tender drawings, project specifications, contracts, and conduct in-depth unit rate analyses for MEP works.
- Evaluate subcontractor bids, process interim payment certificates, review variation orders (VOs), and settle commercial claims.
- Monitor baseline project budgets, material procurement costs, and maintain central estimation databases.
- Perform cost planning, risk analysis, and value engineering exercises to optimize project pricing and margin targets.
- Coordinate closely with pre-construction engineers, procurement officers, and site teams during bidding and execution phases.
- Maintain structured commercial records, historical cost databases, and submittal tracking logs across all active tenders.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on MEP estimation and quantity surveying experience within the UAE or GCC region.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, low voltage, and electrical engineering systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and advanced QS estimation software such as PlanSwift, CostX, or equivalent tools.
- Valid UAE Driving License is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial management skills with immediate availability to join preferred.
