Workshop In-Charge / Logistics Coordinator – Abu Dhabi, UAE | Al Malihi

About the Role:

Al Malihi is urgently seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to take on the dual role of Workshop In-Charge / Logistics Coordinator in Abu Dhabi. This crucial position requires extensive hands-on experience with heavy machinery and a proven history of managing workshop activities and logistics within the construction or heavy equipment sector in the Emirate.

Key Responsibilities:

The Workshop In-Charge will supervise and manage daily workshop operations, including planning and scheduling maintenance, repairs, and spare-part inventories for heavy equipment. Furthermore, the role involves overseeing logistics, particularly the movement of equipment between project sites, enforcing safety regulations, and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage day-to-day workshop operations for heavy equipment and machinery.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, and spare-part inventories.
• Oversee logistics, including movement of equipment between project sites.
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure adherence to company procedures.
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and logistics documentation and reports.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required (mandatory).
• At least 8 years’ relevant experience in workshop management or logistics coordination within the construction/heavy equipment industry.
• Prior work experience in Abu Dhabi is mandatory.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy machinery maintenance and operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, strong communication, and excellent organizational skills.
