About the Role:

An established top-tier contracting firm in Dubai is seeking a seasoned Commercial Manager to oversee commercial functions across civil contracting projects. This key Management role requires deep technical and contractual knowledge, proven commercial leadership, and hands-on experience managing cost, claims, and contractual risk on large-scale projects, with expertise in UAE contract law and FIDIC Conditions of Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial and contractual management of assigned projects, driving cost control activities, budget management, and financial forecasting to protect project margins. Responsibilities include preparing, managing, and negotiating claims, variations, and commercial correspondence, and identifying commercial risks for mitigation in coordination with project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the commercial and contractual management of assigned projects, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Drive cost control activities, budget management, and financial forecasting to protect project margins.
  • Prepare, manage, and negotiate claims, variations, and commercial correspondence.
  • Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior commercial staff.

Key Details & Requirements:

  • 7–10 years in commercial management within civil contracting, including at least 5 years’ experience in the UAE (mandatory).
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or similar. Professional accreditations such as MRICS, PMP, or CCCM are strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in UAE contract law, FIDIC Conditions of Contract, contract administration, and dispute resolution techniques.
  • Candidates who can join immediately and are currently located inside the UAE will be prioritized.
