Job Description:

The ER & ICU Nurse Manager will direct nursing operations across the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit, supervising clinical staff, driving healthcare quality protocols, and aligning critical care delivery with executive hospital management standards.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage nursing operations across the Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  • Ensure strict adherence to high standards of clinical patient care, patient safety, and professional nursing practice.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the professional growth and ongoing clinical evaluation of nursing personnel.
  • Monitor department staffing schedules, nurse-to-patient ratios, team performance, and healthcare quality indicators.
  • Collaborate closely with attending physicians and multi-disciplinary medical teams to deliver seamless patient care.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives, safety audits, and compliance with hospital accreditation policies.
  • Oversee departmental administrative tasks, resource allocation, and clinical workflow optimization.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid UAE nursing license (MOH / DHA / HAAD) or clear eligibility.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience in ER, ICU, or critical care hospital units.
  • Deep clinical knowledge of critical care workflows, emergency triage, and intensive care protocols.
  • Strong team leadership, operational planning, decision-making, and communication capabilities.
  • Prior experience within a major hospital or tertiary-care environment in the UAE is highly preferred.
