About the Role:
ECOS Dubai Hotel, part of the Hospitality Management Holding (HMH) group, is seeking a motivated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is ideal for passionate individuals eager to develop their culinary skills while contributing to a high-standard kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The Commis Chef will work under the direction of senior chefs, focusing on food preparation (mise en place), assisting with cooking various menu items, and strictly adhering to quality, safety, and hygiene standards within the hotel’s kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, safety, and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation tasks.
- Ensure proper storage, organization, and handling of ingredients and kitchen supplies.
- Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to meet service requirements efficiently.
Requirements:
- Some prior experience in a professional kitchen is preferred.
- Basic understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is considered an advantage.
