Job Description:
We are currently hiring a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring full compliance with local safety regulations and promoting a zero-harm culture across all our sites. You will be responsible for the proactive identification of hazards, managing safety approvals, and maintaining rigorous documentation. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator capable of leading safety briefings and supervising onsite activities to mitigate risks effectively.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with UAE safety laws, local regulations, and specific industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections, comprehensive safety audits, and detailed risk assessments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate safety reports, incident records, and mandatory HSE documentation.
- Deliver daily toolbox talks and essential safety briefings to staff and site personnel.
- Supervise site activities directly to ensure all safe work practices and PPE requirements are followed.
- Manage safety approvals and coordinate immediate corrective actions when safety breaches are identified.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department to coordinate safety training and maintain employee health records.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and operations teams to ensure site equipment meets safety certifications.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer specifically within the UAE.
- Strong understanding of UAE health and safety regulations (HSE) and municipality standards.
- Proven experience in site supervision, hazard identification, and risk control measures.
- Ability to prepare technical safety reports and deliver engaging toolbox talks.
- Strong coordination skills with an organized approach to handling documentation and approvals.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH IGC) are highly preferred.
