Safety Officer – Dubai, UAE

Company Overview:

A reputable construction company in Dubai is urgently hiring a qualified Safety Officer to join its on-site team. We are looking for a candidate with solid knowledge of HSE regulations in the UAE to ensure compliance and maintain a secure work environment across all operations.

Job Description:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for the implementation and enforcement of all health, safety, and environmental measures on construction or industrial sites, focusing heavily on site inspections, staff training, and incident reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all company safety policies and procedures are effectively implemented on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to site staff to promote awareness of HSE standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of safety incidents, inspections, and training activities.
• Investigate accidents or near-miss incidents and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations.
• Enforce the use of PPE and safe work practices across all site operations.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH / IOSH certification is mandatory.
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in construction or industrial environments.
• Solid understanding of UAE Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) laws and procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and training.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities and maintain compliance at all times.
