ASGC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Purchase Officer to manage the full procurement lifecycle for construction materials, equipment, and services. We are looking for a leader with strong negotiation skills and in-depth knowledge of the UAE market to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations.

Job Description:

This role requires an experienced procurement professional to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for construction projects. The Senior Purchase Officer will lead vendor management, negotiate optimal contracts, and ensure all purchasing aligns with strict quality and budgetary goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies for construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Lead the procurement team, ensuring compliance with company procedures and local UAE regulations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve optimal value.
• Manage supplier relationships, evaluating performance and ensuring high standards of quality and reliability.
• Control and monitor purchasing budgets, working toward achieving cost-saving objectives.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to align procurement needs with project timelines and specifications.
• Oversee documentation such as purchase orders, requisitions, supplier agreements, and tender submissions.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Requirements:

• 10–12 years of professional experience in procurement, ideally within the UAE construction industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Proficiency with procurement systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills.
• Thorough understanding of the local market for construction materials and vendors.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic or other regional languages is advantageous.
