Our client is a global leader in the steel industry—a Fortune Global 500 enterprise renowned for its marketing strength. The company is seeking an experienced Sales Manager – Steel to drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships across the UAE and broader Middle East markets.
Job Description:
This key Sales Management position requires a commercially savvy professional to develop strategic sales plans, secure new business for steel categories (HRP, rebar, beams, etc.), and manage key accounts end-to-end for efficient, profitable transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue and margin objectives.
- Maintain frequent contact with existing clients through regular visits, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and relationship retention.
- Identify new business opportunities, onboard new customers, and expand market presence.
- Collect inbound inquiries, prepare competitive quotations, and follow up to convert opportunities into confirmed orders.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules aligned with company targets.
- Monitor competitor activity, market conditions, and customer demands to supply actionable market intelligence.
- Coordinate closely with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of sales orders.
- Produce regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for senior management.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in the steel industry.
- Demonstrated success meeting sales targets and developing new accounts within the UAE or Middle East markets.
- Strong product knowledge across steel categories (hot rolled coil (HRP), cold rolled, galvanized, billets, rebar, wire rod, plates, beams, etc.). Experience selling HRP and beams is highly preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic language ability is an advantage.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently with little supervision.
- Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
