Job Description / Role
About the Role:
The Senior Accountant role in Abu Dhabi involves managing comprehensive accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local standards, and supporting crucial financial reporting functions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review month-end and year-end financial statements.
- Maintain general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
- Support VAT return preparation and liaise with tax advisors/auditors.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors as required.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience within the UAE market (mandatory).
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA or CA).
- Proficient in both Arabic and English for reporting and coordination.
- Practical knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and filing processes.
- Experience with accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- Prior experience in real estate or property accounting is a strong advantage.
