Accountant – Sharjah, UAE | AUSTRALIAN GENERAL TRADING LLC

Role Description:

Take ownership of accounting functions within a trading company. This hands-on role involves managing daily transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting audits and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ledgers and record all financial transactions accurately.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts; manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare budgets, financial statements, and management reports.
• Assist with audit preparation, tax documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely financial reporting.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience (UAE experience preferred).
• Proficiency in bookkeeping, AP, and AR.
• Experience preparing financial statements and budgets.
• Knowledge of accounting policies, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience in trading or retail industry is an advantage.
