Senior Accountant – Dubai, UAE | Pacific FZE

Job Description:

The Senior Accountant will lead month-end financial closings, manage general ledger accounts, oversee payables and receivables, conduct financial variance analysis, support internal and external audits, and partner with senior finance management to maintain strict regulatory and VAT compliance in the UAE.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day general ledger accounting, trial balances, and monthly financial closing activities.
• Prepare comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations, income statements, and monthly management accounts.
• Supervise accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) ledgers, tracking corporate cash flows and working capital.
• Ensure strict compliance with UAE VAT regulations, statutory accounting standards, and local Free Zone guidelines.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requirements, preparing schedules, supporting working papers, and reports.
• Assist finance leadership with annual budgeting, operational expense forecasting, and variance analysis.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a professional qualification (ACCA / CPA / CMA preferred).
• Proven experience in a Senior Accountant or Lead Accountant role, ideally within manufacturing, trading, or free zone operations.
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), corporate accounting practices, and UAE VAT laws.
• High proficiency in ERP accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, organizational skills, and leadership capabilities.
• Prior UAE accounting experience is strongly preferred.
