Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Dubai. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a professional who can assist in maintaining financial accuracy for management and fiscal review. You will be responsible for general ledger activities, supporting accounts receivable/payable, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Accounting Principles and a proactive approach to reconciliations and VAT documentation. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in general ledger activities and record financial transactions to meet management and audit targets.
- Support accounts receivable and payable processes in Dubai, ensuring 100% data integrity in invoicing, payment tracking, and supplier documentation.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department and finance leads to monitor bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies under supervision.
- Support VAT-related tasks by maintaining proper documentation and assisting in the preparation of VAT returns.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools and accounting software to optimize financial workflows and daily reporting.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance plus a relevant professional Certificate.
- Around 3 years of professional experience or significant internship exposure in accounting roles.
- Strong background in management of financial documentation, reconciliations, and reporting standards.
- Professional background in education or training regarding VAT regulations and maritime industry accounting (added advantage).
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to professional learning.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capability to support a fast-paced shipping business in Dubai.
