Job Description:
A core financial operational vacancy is open for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to handle routine fiscal entries and day-to-day company bookkeeping routines. Operating from the regional headquarters in Dubai, UAE, this early-career professional will take charge of transactional records processing, bank ledger maintenance, petty cash reconciliations, and supplier payment files verification.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and maintain core corporate accounting records, customer invoices, and fiscal transactions accurately within the financial system.
- Record, review, and update active bank transactions alongside regular sub-ledger petty cash entries.
- Handle structured petty cash management while ensuring all supporting purchase records and matching vouchers are properly maintained.
- Prepare financial payment vouchers and process bank transfers following the receipt of formal corporate approvals.
- Track and manage accounts payable and receivable operations through cash assets, bank transfers, and standard modern payment channels.
- Maintain organized, updated sub-ledgers for supplier and client accounts to ensure smooth daily commercial operations.
- Ensure systematic digital and physical filing of transaction invoices, vouchers, receipts, and supporting financial documents.
- Assist the senior finance group in conducting comprehensive reconciliations for bank accounts, petty cash balances, and general ledger accounts.
- Support the regional accounting department with additional administrative routines and special financial projects as assigned.
🔹 Requirements:
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of professional corporate accounting experience, gained exclusively within the United Arab Emirates market.
- Prior experience operating inside the regional service sector, hospitality, or client solutions domain is highly preferred.
- Solid foundational understanding of standard corporate accounting procedures, bookkeeping methods, and commercial documentation laws.
- Strong professional communication skills in English, both written and verbal; proficiency in additional languages is a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong data precision skills, and the absolute ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial info.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and task prioritization abilities with a proven track record of meeting strict reporting deadlines.
- Familiarity with processing digital spreadsheets and corporate ledgers driven by modern Information Technology assets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited higher education institution.
