Job Description:
KOVA Building Contracting L.L.C is actively seeking an experienced and commercially focused QS Engineer to join its growing team in Dubai. This role is fundamental to our financial efficiency, requiring a professional who can manage project costs and oversee contractual matters throughout the construction lifecycle. You will be responsible for preparing BOQs, monitoring budgets, and managing variations for management review. We are looking for a results-driven individual with a strong background in sales support through accurate progress valuations and commercial coordination. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and accurate cost estimations for management review.
- Monitor project budgets and maintain strict commercial cost control measures to ensure profitability.
- Manage variations, claims documentation, and contractual communications with project stakeholders.
- Prepare and administer subcontract agreements while verifying payment certifications for site-level management.
- Handle client billing processes and prepare progress valuations based on project milestones.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding commercial team productivity and professional training.
- Utilize Information Technology and specialized software for precise quantity surveying and reporting.
- Coordinate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure alignment on material costs and project timelines.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience within the UAE construction market, specifically in fit-out or fast-track projects.
- Expert technical knowledge of engineering cost structures and UAE pricing benchmarks.
- Strong background in management of contracts, claims, and commercial documentation.
- Professional background in education or training related to RICS or international surveying standards is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills to support project sales and financial efficiency.
- Ability to utilize IT tools effectively for estimation and data management.
- Immediate availability for joining will be given priority consideration.
