Job Description:
We are executing a strategic professional appointment within our central project execution division and are seeking a meticulous, quality-driven Material Engineer – Fit-Out to govern architectural material submittal pipelines and direct interior finish testing pathways in Abu Dhabi. Configured for systematic engineering specialists who possess deep operational command of fit-out technical compliance and excel at managing consultant-level approval interfaces, this full-time track focuses on accelerating procurement readiness speeds, auditing supplier quality databases, and maximizing on-site technical compliance scores under our unified project management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and manage comprehensive material submittals, physical material boards, and technical compliance data arrays.
- Coordinate material approval loops systematically with appointed project consultants, tier-one client reps, and design leads.
- Review structural material specifications, trace performance criteria, and verify absolute compliance with project design manuals.
- Liaise directly with global manufacturing vendors, internal procurement logisticians, and on-site project engineers.
- Monitor the status of pending technical submittals, logging material tracking speeds and applying proactive verification follow-ups.
- Support field fit-out teams with engineering alternatives, sourcing advice, and localized structural data sheets.
- Maintain clear, organized, and audit-ready databases tracking approved material indices, factory compliance certificates, and laboratory test outputs.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Construction Management, or a related spatial trade discipline from an accredited institution.
- Proven professional experience operating a material engineering desk or managing interior contracting submittal portfolios specifically inside the United Arab Emirates fit-out marketplace.
- Advanced technical data literacy with extensive practical capability analyzing compliance reports, sorting product testing metrics, and configuring log summaries inside MS Excel spreadsheets.
- Deep, comprehensive operational knowledge across the following primary functional dimensions:
- Premium interior finishes, custom wood veneers, performance laminates, and specialized fit-out material parameters.
- Bespoke joinery manufacturing, woodwork engineering, assembly tolerances, and custom hardware specifications.
- Commercial flooring configurations, complex acoustic ceiling layouts, and wall cladding anchoring mechanisms.
- Material approval procedures, sample control standards, and professional contracting documentation management.
- Outstanding professional communication skills, strict attention to engineering compliance data detail, a systematic organizational approach, and immediate professional readiness to step into the Abu Dhabi project team.
