Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator specializing in cloud platforms to join our technology team in Abu Dhabi. This role is fundamental to our technical framework, requiring a professional who can manage and optimize cloud-based database systems for management and infrastructure review. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, designing disaster recovery configurations, and conducting performance tuning to optimize resource utilization. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Cloud Database Administration and a proactive approach to automation and scripting. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage cloud-hosted database platforms to meet management and performance standards.
- Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations in Abu Dhabi to ensure business continuity.
- Liaise with the Human Resources and IT teams to implement database security measures, including encryption and auditing.
- Monitor performance and conduct tuning activities to ensure 100% data integrity and system efficiency.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools and scripting to automate routine database operations and patching procedures.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant technical discipline.
- Proven professional experience specifically in managing relational and NoSQL databases within cloud environments.
- Strong background in management of backup/recovery processes, HA/DR setups, and capacity planning.
- Professional background in education or training regarding database performance tuning and automation scripting.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence and perform root cause analysis during production incidents.
- Candidates currently based in the UAE with a maximum 30-day notice period are preferred for this position.
