Job Description:
The Virtual Medical Assistant / Patient Advocate will provide high-quality non-clinical support to patients and healthcare providers, acting as a primary connection point across care delivery workflows in a remote environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide empathetic support to patients by answering non-clinical questions and helping them navigate their healthcare journey.
- Assist healthcare providers with non-clinical administrative tasks within electronic medical record systems.
- Review, triage, reassign, and resolve patient messages accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate complex patient situations and coordinate with clinical teams, pharmacies, insurance providers, and operational departments.
- Assist patients with non-clinical prescription-related issues, including benefits verification and prior authorizations.
- Communicate clear next steps and solutions to patients regarding their care experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve service quality and operational performance.
🔹 Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in patient-facing administrative, healthcare, customer service, or operations roles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Slack.
