Job Description:
The Logistics Manager will direct international maritime shipping operations, lead freight rate negotiations, oversee import/export compliance documentation, and manage global supply chain workflows under corporate management in Dubai. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end global import, export, and cross-trade container shipments across primary international trade corridors.
- Liaise and build relationships with shipping lines, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, suppliers, and global trade customers.
- Track vessel schedules, ETD/ETA movements, rollover notices, port congestion delays, and vessel routing adjustments.
- Negotiate competitive sea freight rates, extended free time allowances, detention terms, and demurrage rate structures.
- Prepare, verify, and archive essential shipping papers, customs declarations, Bills of Lading, and trade documentation.
- Monitor total logistics expenses, identify cost-saving initiatives, and optimize supply chain expenditure.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, International Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in international shipping operations, freight forwarding, and import/export processes.
- Prior experience in polymer, petrochemical, chemical, or bulk commodity trading supply chains is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in freight rate negotiation, carrier management, and international trade clearance protocols.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP supply chain modules, and digital shipping platforms.
