Job Description / Role
About the Role:
The Accountant will take ownership of the financial functions for a trading company, including managing daily transactions, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain ledgers and record all financial transactions accurately.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts; manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare budgets, financial statements, and management reports.
- Assist with audit preparation, tax documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience (mandatory).
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Experience preparing financial statements and budgets.
- Knowledge of accounting policies, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in the trading or retail industry is a strong advantage.
